This summary details the results of archaeological test trenching carried out on at Site C, Alexander Reid, Kentstown Road, Navan, Co. Meath (690649, 767178). The site was tested by Donald Murphy of Archaeological Consultancy Services Unit Ltd (ACSU) under licence 20E0492.
A total of 8 test trenches were excavated at Site C. The sod and topsoil measured an average of 0.35m in depth and lay above the natural orange gravelly clay. The proposed development will not have any archaeological impact. Further monitoring of the areas to be impacted upon will be required in due course.
