Archaeological testing at Farranwilliam, Ardfert, Co. Kerry was undertaken in end of May 2020.The proposed development site comprises of c.3.23ha of generally level good quality land abutting the modern east-south-east urban limits of the historic town of Ardfert, KE020-046. Testing comprised of the excavation of nine 1.8m wide test trenches (T1-T9) with a total length of c.1080m. Nothing of archaeological interest was noted in any of the test trenches and no artefacts were recovered.
