Monitoring of groundworks at Tomies West & Gortadirra Townlands, Killarney, Co. Kerry was undertaken in August and September 2020. During the monitoring one area of archaeological interest consisting of a trough, fulacht fiadh and a spread was recorded. Subsequent excavation of the trough and the spread was undertaken at the end of September 2020. No artefacts were recovered during the monitoring and subsequent excavation.
