A programme of archaeological testing was undertaken of the site of proposed single dwelling house extension at Kilkilvery, near Headford, Co. Galway on 27 August 2020.
There are no recorded monuments within the boundaries of the site. A children’s burial ground (CBG), GA042-154--, is located immediately to the west of the site. The precise location of the CBG is uncertain.
Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during testing. Much of the proposed development site has been scarped or stripped back and subsequently inundated with imported fill at some time in the past.
