Monitoring of groundworks was carried out over a seven-day period from 20–24 July and 11–12 August, 2020, at Creagh townland, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, in compliance with planning conditions. Groundworks comprised the reduction of the site of a proposed dwelling house by a maximum depth of 1.5m, involving the complete removal of sod, topsoil, subsoil, fills and part of the underlying natural silty sand. No finds or features of archaeological significance were discovered during the works.
