Phase 2 development works were carried out on 12 February 2020, and involved hand-excavation of 2 north-south aligned sample headstones in the eastern end of the Pensioners' Graveyard. Excavation for Headstone 0/83 measured 0.55m long x 0.35m wide x 0.3m deep and excavation for Headstone 161/82 measured 0.4m long x 0.3m wide x 0.3m deep.
No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed during monitoring of groundworks, and natural geology was not identified during the works.
