Geological site investigations were carried out by IGSL and these test trenches also doubled up as archaeological test trenches.
Monitoring of the geological site investigation trial trenches in Areas A and B did not identify any features of archaeological significance. In general, the deposits identified in the trenches consisted of dark brown clays with inclusions of modern building rubble throughout. In some trenches the inclusions identified comprised of large lumps of concrete, steel rods, plastic and fragments of cardboard. Old service routes including water and sewage pipes were also identified.
