A test excavation programme was undertaken on 17th August 2020 at the site of a proposed primary school at St Molaga’s SNS, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. A geophysical survey (Licence No. 20R0149) was undertaken by R. O’Hara and B. Korfanty in July 2020.

A total of 5 trenches (approx. 122 linear metres) were excavated by mechanical excavator under archaeological supervision.

Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered during the course of the testing works.
