Following the demolition of four buildings (Nos 40, 44, 46 and 48) along the street frontage, the footprints and yards of these properties were mechanically cleaned down. The gardens of properties Nos 44-48 were also topsoil stripped. A dry well contemporary with the buildings that were demolished was found in the yard of property 46-48; this was recorded and was subsequently filled with stone and will be preserved in-situ.
No material of an archaeological nature was uncovered during the course of the watching brief.
