An archaeological assessment was carried out as part of a pre-planning investigation for a development in Kilknock, County Carlow. The proposed development is to consist of a single residential dwelling, waste water treatment system and ancillary works. The development site is located within the zone of archaeological potential of circular crop mark classified as an enclosure (CW013-108). The assessment found no evidence for a crop mark in this location and the subsequent test excavation found no features or finds of archaeological significance. Based on the results of the assessment, the proposed development will have no impact on the archaeological landscape.
