Test trenching on a series of cut crop fields was undertaken as part of an EIAR on a site proposed for redevelopment. An access road immediately south contained a site excavated under licence 10E0025, which may have extended into the present site. Trenches measuring 1015m in total length did not uncover any material of archaeological significance. Trenches were excavated in the area of two burnt spreads, no longer visible, and no archaeological material was identified here. However, some responses were recorded in a geophysics survey. Further work on this large site will be required.
