Seven trenches were excavated within the footprint of “Glenheron C” lands. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were uncovered during these works. The trenches targeted open green space to fully investigate the archaeological potential of the site. Two drainage ditches associated with a former east-north-east/west-south-west orientated field boundary and two stone-filled drains were noted on site. Disturbance from modern construction activity including the provision of services was noted also. Some potential does remains that smaller, isolated features may survive beneath the current ground level, outside of the footprint of the excavated trenches.
