Test trenching was undertaken in the townlands of Beak and Nemestown, Co. Wexford. No features and/or finds of archaeological significance were encountered in the majority of the trenches (Trenches 1-7 & 9-10), however two areas of archaeological significance were revealed in Trench 8 (697456, 603963). Area 1 is defined by a deposit of burnt stone and clay measuring 4.8m in length and appears to extend beyond the width of the trench (1.8m).
