An archaeological evaluation was carried out in Altdrumman townland on lands located approximately 100m west of 91A Fingrean road, Loughmacrory, Co. Tyrone to investigate whether there were any archaeological remains present in advance of development (Planning Ref. LA10/2018/1032/O; single residential dwelling). The site is located close to an unclassified megalithic tomb (TYR 027:031) in an area rich in archaeological sites.
A total of four trenches were opened and excavated to the surface of the natural subsoil with a mechanical excavator under archaeological supervision; nothing of archaeological significance was observed.
