Archaeological monitoring of grounds works associated with the construction of a single house and ancillary site works was undertaken as part of granted planning permission at Lanespark, Ballinunty. Situated on the edge of the small village of Ballinunty, the nearest monument is a holy well. Located in the adjoining field, the monument is situated beside the hedge bounding the site.

Other than two modern features, a linear trench carrying a service pipe from a septic tank and an infilled engineering trial hole, nothing was uncovered during the monitoring works. The depth of imported topsoil near the newly opened entrance and along the northern end of the stripped driveway was due to backfilling of a sand pit. This part of the site had been quarried and subsequently infilled, including the deposition of modern domestic waste, c. 20 years ago.
