A programme of archaeological test trenching was carried out at Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath, Co Meath. The test excavation was undertaken in July 2019. A total of seven test trenches were excavated across the proposed development site, totalling 333m in length.
No features or objects of archaeological interest were found during testing of this site. Some areas of the site could not be tested due to the presence of standing structures. It is recommended that monitoring be carried out of these areas during any subsequent groundworks.
