An archaeological assessment for a proposed solar array farm including testing along an access route was carried out in Garmanagh townland, Nobber, Co. Meath. The area is a greenfield site and is currently in use for sheep grazing. Two test trenches were excavated along the access route. The stratigraphy at the site consisted mainly of 0.3m topsoil overlying mid-brown/yellow silty clay subsoil. No finds were uncovered in the testing process and the area was very sterile and devoid of modern pottery or debris. There are no Recorded Monuments within the development lands and nothing of archaeological interest was noted during the site walkover. Furthermore nothing of archaeological significance was noted during the course of testing along the access routes.
