Archaeological research found that the proposed house extension at Treanybrogaun, Parke, Co Mayo is within the archaeological constraints for the MA060-024. The test trenches were excavated as per the licence application and method statement. Topsoil varied from 0.1–0.46m deep being a mid-brown loam soil. The natural was composed of an orangey silty subsoil with seams of gravel. No artefacts or environmental evidence were revealed during the test trenching exercise. Nothing of archaeological significance is impacted upon by the proposed house extension.
