Several geological trial pits were opened under archaeological supervision at a proposed development site on Mount Avenue. The site was previously tested under Licence 18E0682 and two isolated pits and a ditch were discovered in the northern half of the field (Garahy 2019).

Two fulachtaí fiadh had been previously identified and partially excavated at the southern side of the field during monitoring works in advance of a pipeline (Bolger 2000).

No archaeological features or deposits were identified during the monitoring of the geological trial pits.
