Test trenching was carried out in advance of the construction of a domestic dwelling at Kilteale townland, Stradbally Co. Laois. The works took place in July 2019. The works were required as the proposed development site is within the environs of a medieval church and graveyard site (LA013-053001).
Test trenches were excavated where the new dwelling and associated waste water treatment system will be constructed, as well as a new approach road.
No archaeology was identified during this work.
