Monitoring of site investigation in the form of boreholes, test pits and slit-trenches were undertaken as part of Inistioge sewage scheme, Co. Kilkenny. A selection of the works took place in the immediate vicinity the historic town defences (KK032-017010), part of the historic town of Inistioge (KK032-017017–) requiring ministerial consent. The remaining works located away from the above were carried out under a separate excavation license (18E0387). No archaeology was found.
