Monitoring of groundworks associated with the diversion of the R148 through Collinstown, County Kildare was undertaken as part of the R148 road diversion scheme associated with the Intel Manafacturing facility to the north. It was undertaken over 8 days in June and July 2019. This monitoring was undertaken on foot of a planning condition from an Bord Pleanála as well as mitigation measures set out in a previous assessment. A stone well was uncovered in Area 3 to the south of Collinstown House and was preserved in situ. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were encountered elsewhere on the site during monitoring.
