Archaeological monitoring of works associated with the construction of a wind farm at Toberatooreen in North Kerry included:
(1) monitoring of site investigation works;
(2) monitoring of the turbines, hardstands, access roads and borrow sites.

The main ground works comprised the topsoil stripping for 4 turbines situated within the boundary of Toberatooreen. The peaty soil ranged in depth from 0.5m to a maximum depth of 1.5–2m+. The natural subsoil across the site varied from a grey to yellowish grey boulder clay throughout. No archaeological features, deposits, stratigraphy or artefacts were recorded.
