Testing, which comprised of the excavation of five 2m wide trenches (T1-T5) with a total length of c.687m, was undertaken in mid-November 2019. Burnt mound material extending for c.5m (east-west) x 12m was noted in the south-east area of T3 (ITM coordinates centre point: E 505585, N 648695). Nothing of archaeological interest was recorded in any of the other trenches and no artefacts were recovered during testing.
