Pre-development testing took place of a site at Fairgreen, Ardfert, Co. Kerry in proximity to Ardfert Cathedral and Churches (National Monument). The testing showed that the site had been infilled to a depth of between 0.4m and 0.7m with soil and stone. The stone was in part derived from the destruction of buildings shown on the site on the early editions of the Ordnance Survey. The concrete floor of one structure at the southern end of the site was partially extant. No archaeological features or strata were recorded. A millstone fragment was recovered from Trench 2 but it is impossible to say if it derived from the site or was imported as part of fill material
