Test excavations were undertaken in advance of a proposed residential development at Scholarstown Road, Co. Dublin. Previous works undertaken at the site consisted of Phase I test excavation (targeted on geophysical survey results; 2018:534), excavation of a settlement cemetery (2018:602) and Phase II test excavation which concentrated on testing of roads and drainage infrastructure. The current phase of test excavations was targeted on the footprint of the proposed residential development. Twenty test trenches were excavated within the site. No archaeological material was recorded.
