Archaeological test trenching was carried out at Belvoir Park, Belfast, Co Down in response to a request for more information from DfC: Historic Environment Division under Planning Policy PPS6 BH3.

A total of 3 test trenches, each 40m long, were excavated across the site. Test trenching revealed that directly under the topsoil there is a layer of stone rubble overlaying the subsoil. No archaeological material was uncovered, there was no evidence of recorded monument DOW009:058.
