Archaeological monitoring of the groundworks at various locations in the town of Letterkenny was carried out over a period of 16 months. Intermittent monitoring was carried out on a weekly basis and full-time monitoring was carried out between March and April and again in October 2019. No features and/or finds of archaeological significance were encountered in the course of the works. Many of the areas excavated had previously been disturbed by the installation of service pipes.
