Monitoring associated with the Letterkenny Regional Water Supply Scheme - Contract 3, in County Donegal was undertaken at the site of the Water Supply Improvements – Cranford to Milford Section. Full-time monitoring was undertaken at Cool Upper (Cranford environs between local roads L12123 and L1212) and intermittent monitoring was undertaken on non-National Primary roads (including the L1212, R245 and Cooper’s Road, Milford), over 10 non-consecutive days in July to September 2019.
Topsoil/ overburden was stripped using a 360-degree mechanical excavator fitted with a toothless bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the works.
