Archaeological testing of a proposed development site was undertaken at Derrygowna (and other townlands), near Nad, Co. Cork over one day in June 2019. Eleven trenches were excavated within the site in areas where most ground disturbance will occur at the construction stage of the development. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were noted within any of the excavated trenches. Land reclamation was evident in places where a mixed peaty/redeposit overburden overlay the natural.
