Archaeological monitoring, associated with the redevelopment of an existing 18th-century building at the Market Square, Tullow, Co. Carlow, was carried out. The building was L-shaped in plan, with the original building fronting on to Mill Street and a wider modern extension to the rear extending across the back. The gutting of the building exposed an earlier roof line. The addition of an extra floor probably occurred during the 19th-century redevelopment of the building.
No archaeological features and no artefacts were identified during the monitoring.
