A total of 15 test trenches were excavated across the footprint of the proposed development from 25-27 September 2019. Each trench measured 1.8m in width. In total 454m of linear trenches were excavated. In general, the trenches revealed topsoil and sod at a depth ranging between 0.35–0.65m, overlying natural that varied greatly across the site. This site has been greatly disturbed over the past century, as evident from both aerial imagery and the site inspection. As a result, significant areas could not be tested due to large mounds of soil. Where it was possible to test, the investigation exposed no archaeological features, structures or deposits. Due to the previous disturbance to the site, the remaining archaeological potential of the site is considered low and further archaeological work is not recommended.
