The archaeological site at Glenmona consisted of a truncated burnt mound and rectangular trough.

The radiocarbon dates indicate that this burnt mound dated to the Early to Middle Bronze Age, with an Early Bronze Age date (2347–2190 cal. BC) being returned from the trough and a Middle Bronze Age date (1683–1521 cal. BC) from the burnt spread.
