An underwater impact assessment was undertaken as part of an application for a Dumping at Sea Permit with regard to proposed channel dredging within Waterford Estuary. As part of the assessment, a geophysical survey was undertaken (magnetometry, side-scan sonar and multibeam). Of the anomalies, 12 were unidentified which were dive truthed. The dive inspection of the anomalies identified no features of archaeological significance.
