The site is in the environs of the site of a ringfort known from the first edition map (WA025-32001) of which no trace exists above ground and a second ringfort identified from aerial photography (WA025-32002). The mapping of the ringfort on the 1st edition map may have been slightly wrong and the actual location given is that spotted from above in recent times. Alternatively, there may have been two ringforts, or conjoined ringforts which are also known. Either which way, the area of the proposed dwelling house does not immediately impinge on the location of the ringforts, nor will there be any access routes or drainage through the ringfort site(s). No archaeological finds or features were found during the testing which preceded the building of a private residence.
