Evaluative archaeological investigations were carried out in Altdrumman townland on lands approximately 66m north-east of, and to the rear of, 30a Fingrean road, Loughmacrory, Co. Tyrone. The application site (for a single residential dwelling and garage) was located adjacent to two scheduled prehistoric megalithic monuments, a wedge tomb (TYR 036:026) and a court tomb (TYR036:032). The investigations were undertaken in advance of site works taking place (Planning Ref.: LA10/2017/1352/F). Seven trenches (approx. 185m2 in total) were opened and excavated to the surface of the natural subsoil with a mechanical excavator under archaeological supervision; nothing of archaeological significance was observed.
