Monitoring of topsoil stripping works was undertaken on 13 November 2018 at the site of proposed development for the construction of a two-storey dwelling and detached garage at lands adjacent to 51 Whiterock Park, Castlederg, Co. Tyrone, having been commissioned by Mr. Christopher Taggart.

The entire area of the site was stripped of topsoil under archaeological supervision. The topsoil varied in depth between 0.25m and 0.65m and its removal revealed natural subsoil, a mid-orange boulder clay with seams of fine gravel and a moderate amount of large, sub-rounded stones.

No archaeological features, remains, deposits or artifacts were identified within the boundaries of the proposed development area (PDA) during archaeological works at the site.
