A watching brief was undertaken during the Gas to the West project at Grange, County Tyrone. A number of features and deposits of archaeological significance were identified during monitored topsoil stripping at Plots 25.01 and 25.02. These included: one burnt mound, one timber-lined trough, 17 pits, 10 stake-holes, seven post-holes, two spreads and two linear features. A number of sherds of prehistoric pottery and lithics were found within some of the features. In addition, a number of modern features including several parallel plough furrows were identified and investigated. All of the archaeological features were fully excavated.
