Monitoring of site investigations associated with the proposed Roscommon Main Drainage was carried out over a period of 5 weeks from November to December, 2018. No features and/or artefacts of archaeological significance were encountered in the course of the monitoring. The monitoring of the slit trenches recorded that the areas had been disturbed in recent years. The exception to this was Slit trench 1, where the only disturbance was of a pipe recorded on the historic 25-inch Ordnance Survey map (1897–1913).
