Archaeological excavation was undertaken in March 2018. The works commenced with the removal of topsoil from the site. This was removed by a mechanical excavator using a grading bucket. The site of the enclosure and the wider area was stripped. Following this the site was cleaned by hand. This identified a shallow ditch that had been heavily truncated. The ditch measured between 0.2 and 0.3m in depth and up to 1m in width, this was not visible at the south. The diameter of the site was c. 30m. some burnt soil was recorded at the base of the ditch at the north. The enclosure was located on a prominent location over looking a small river valley of a tributary of the River Boyne. No additional features were recorded.Archaeological excavation was undertaken in March 2018. Topsoil was removed from the site by a mechanical excavator using a grading bucket.
