Monitoring of the geotechnical site investigations at Derryadd, Co. Longford was carried out over a period of three days. A total of twenty trial pits were mechanically excavated in the bogs of Derryaroge and Derryadd. No features and/or artefacts of archaeological significance were encountered during the course of monitoring. The stratigraphy encountered revealed varying levels of peat overlying a natural grey clay.
