Monitoring of trenching associated with pipe laying was carried out in an urban area within the ZAP for the historic core of Portarlington town (LA005-031) and close to the Barrow Bridge LA005-031002. Pipes were laid in the existing road on the R419 Link Road and the R420 (French Church Street), as well as in the Rosecourt housing estate. Nothing of archaeological significance was revealed.
