The excavation of the fulacht fiadh found in October 2017 was undertaken under an extension to the same licence in spring 2018. A sub-rectangular area measuring 12m x 10.7m was opened. The burnt mound comprised typical black loose fulacht fiadh material of copious heat-shattered stones and charcoal within its matrix. The depth of material in section varied from 0.16m at the edges of the burnt mound to 0.4m in the centre. Excavation of second half of the fulacht revealed three pits or shallow troughs below. No artefacts were recovered during the excavations.
