An application to import inert construction/demolition material into low-lying lands in Coolkeragh townland, Listowel, led to a request from the County Archaeologist for a pre-planning test excavation to be undertaken. The site proposed for development is located approximately 4.5km north of Listowel and 5.5km west of Ballylongford. Four test trenches were excavated and no features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
