Archaeological monitoring was carried out at Bridge Street, Athenry, Co. Galway on 22 June 2018. Groundworks for the project involved road opening and the repair of a foul sewer connection exiting the property to a foul main on Bridge Street. The works took place within the core of the Historic Town of Athenry (GA084-001-).
Monitoring along the road opening exposed modern fill and services with no materials or finds of archaeological potential.
