Development involved the construction of 89 dwellings, car parking, landscaping and all other associated site works. The site measured 5.31 hectares in size.
Monitoring revealed a possible hearth measuring 0.8m x 1.2m x 0.15m. The feature was fully excavated at the time of monitoring, and no diagnostic artefacts were recovered. The fill was recorded as a blackened charcoal-stained silt with occasional red oxidised clay. Charcoal recovered from the fill (young willow) has been submitted for radiocarbon dating.
No additional archaeological features or artefacts were revealed as a result of carrying out the monitoring. Post-excavation analysis is ongoing.
