Test trenching of a proposed housing development was undertaken within a green field site to comply with Fingal County Council planning requirements. The development site had previously been subject to test trenching carried out by Sinead Phelan in 2006 in advance of a housing project that did not proceed (Licence 06E0322). Nothing of archaeological significance was identified during the 2006 investigations. Following consultation with the National Monuments Service additional test trenches were excavated within the north end of the field in an area outside the boundary of the area tested in 2006 and nothing of archaeological significance was identified.
