Monitoring of topsoil stripping in advance of an access road and enabling works was undertaken in May 2015 and June 2017, while subsequent monitoring of hedge cutting and tree felling was carried out in February 2018. The key finding from the investigations consisted of a sub-oval pit, which was uncovered during the initial phase of monitoring. The feature, which contained a charcoal-rich burnt stone fill, had a diameter of 1.4m and was 0.4m deep. No other archaeological remains were identified.
