Testing was undertaken on the site of a proposed farm shed at Lismontigley, County Donegal. Three test trenches were excavated. A large ditch was identified in Trenches 1 and 2, thus an additional trench (Trench 3) was excavated. The ditch was also identified in Trench 3. The date of the ditch is unknown, although modern glass and iron slag (of unknown date) were recovered from the upper fills. The ditch may be commensurate with the Enclosure (DG070-029), which according to the RMP is located in the adjacent field, but which is not identifiable on the ground.
