Testing was undertaken on the grounds of Lissardagh House, Lissardagh, Co. Cork. The country house is listed in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH), Reg. No. 20908318. The testing formed a component of a planning application by the owners for the construction of five detached dwellings with waste water treatment units and percolation areas, along with the upgrading of existing vehicular entrances. Eight test trenches were inserted which were positioned at c. 20–25m intervals. Each trench measured 2m in width and were of varying lengths (T1 -25m, T2 - 10m T3 - 55m, T4 - 55m, T5 - 100m, T6 - 20m, T7 - 55m, T8 - 50m). No archaeology was found.
